Hello, stingray families!

I am excited about being your school counselor here at Village Elementary. This will be my third year as the school counselor. I work with students, families, teachers, staff, and members of the community. I along with other school staff work diligently to help create a positive learning environment for your children focusing on our school core values of safe, respectful, and responsible. 

My goals as school counselor are to create genuine relationships with your family and to promote growth in our students. This positive connection between the school and home can help lead to student success. Some ways I help lead to student success. Some ways I help Village partner with families is through:

• Monthly newsletter to families

• Consultation with families

• Community based referrals provided when needed

• Website with resources for families 

• Volunteer opportunities at the school 

I work alongside teachers and families to help students grow and develop socially and emotionally, and to help remove barriers that prevent them from learning. My focus at Village Elementary entails

• Classroom lessons focused on social skills, self-regulation, conflict resolution, and positive behavior
• Small-group counseling 
• short-term individual counseling 
• consultation with families and staff 
• community resources referrals
