Welcome to our 1st grade class. I am very excited to be your child’s teacher this year. This will be my third year to be part of the Georgetown Independent school district. My name is Patricia Williams and I was born in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico. I have lived in California, Arizona and for the last 26 years, I have lived here in Texas. My journey in education began at Widen Elementary in Austin, Texas almost 20 years ago. I had the privilege to serve at Widen as a Kindergarten teacher, first-grade teacher, Early Childhood Special Education teacher (ECSE), Spanish Reading Interventionist and Assistant Principal. I decided to leave my community and Widen family because of the long and arduous commute. My husband and I moved to Georgetown in May of 2020. I am passionate about sharing the love of learning and I look forward to meeting your children and to instill this passion. I invite you to join me in creating a community where we empower our students to explore and create goals which will overshadow their expectations of being successful. I will be teaching Spanish Language Arts (SLAR) and Science in Spanish.
We will have an amazing year!
Hello!! My name is Sarah Jenkins, and I am proud to be a Village Elementary Stingray!! This will be my 4th year at Village, and I am excited to start my 3rd year as the Language Arts Teacher in 1st grade.
I graduated from Baylor University in 1999. After college, I worked as a business continuity consultant for a telecommunications corporation, and then decided to follow my dreams of being an elementary school teacher in 2020. I live in the Village neighborhood with my husband, David, my two children, Emilee (15) and Jack (13), and two dogs, Rowdy and Ramsey. In my free time, you can usually find me watching my children play their sports, reading a good book, or enjoying time outdoors.
I look forward to another amazing year and experiencing the growth of our young learners!!
